These are fucked up financial times for most of us and we're seeking ways to make some cash just to keep on the treadmill...
I'm doing just that ...and much better.
You can own you own "virtual shopping mall" on the internet for FREE. Did you know that? You'll usually pocket around 50% of the cost of anything you sell.
What stuff can you push?
Mostly, but not always, it's ANYTHING that can be digitally downloaded by a customer.
So what does that include?
ANY kind of e-book... On ANY subject under the sun from utterly stupid to PhD physics.
Self-improvement, home-improvement, mate-improvement, religion, maps, cookbooks, animal training, vacations and on and on.
Any kind of software program that does, uh ANYTHING you can't imagine. Bookkeeping, astronomy, calculus, imaging, chat-room designing, crap that I don't even know what it is...

Articles, recipes, "how-to" books on ANY crazy subject with way more variety than the "For Dummies" series.
Besides digital stuff, you can turn a profit off of anything that's sold online in catalog form. Do you know what that means? ANYTHING! Millions of goods.
More and more people are doing their shopping online using Pay Pal or their CC's every day. After all, it saves on gasoline, pollution and wipes out road rage 100%.

Like what KIND of catalog stuff? I think I just told you, but:
Personalized (engraved or embroidered) items like picture frames, scarves, wedding gifts, flowers, kids toys, adult toys, pet supplies, high fashion frou frou, the most obscure hobby fetishes, handcuffs, you name it.
Perfumes, shoes, handbags, jewelry, jockstraps, car parts, toilet deodorizers. How about pills galore? Viagra is an atomic bomb of a seller. So are vitamin pills, protein and fiber powders, juice supplements, "health" i.e. diet teas? You get the picture. Again, the possibilities are without end.
Sex "aids" like penis stretchers (which DO really work), stiffeners and plumper-uppers, boob lifters, fuzzy hot-pink girlie thongs, um, "bananas", etc, etc,
If you love porn like I do, you can cashier every time a horny dude or chick joins an "adult" or cam site. There are, of course, thousands of them geared to every kind of Jane and Dick-foolery.

You can sell "marketing tools"... programs and memberships to online "universities" that teach OTHER people how to sell effectively on the internet. Sell programs or memberships that force-feed internet sellers sales leads to use with other programs (which you, of course, sell them) or for use for e-mailings. This is a VERY big money-making area.
You can either be your own webmaster hosting your own website if you like tinkering and designing in computer-speak or you can simply place ads and let your customers go straight to each company's own web page. You can also use a blog like this one, which costs nothing at all to operate.
Or you can do all of the above like I do.

Is A Home Based Business Right For You?

Sounds like a silly question right? I mean, who wouldn't want to work from home? Well, the truth is, not everyone is cut out for this line of work.

People tend to look at Home Based Businesses for only its advantages, but tend to skip over the potential pitfalls, that may come with it. For example, one of the major attractions to working from home is the freedom that you get to do your work on your own time. There is no boss to ask for time off, or to have to deal with crazy co-workers. You essentially are your own boss.

The disadvantage to this is, are you willing to take on the responsibility of being your own boss. Although you wont get "fired" from postponing your work, you will in fact hurt the productivity of your business, and ultimately your wallet. Respect your company as if you were working for someone else.

Another example of why working from home is appealing, is the fact that you can spend more time with your loved ones. No need to leave early to try and beat traffic, now you have time to have breakfast with your children or spouse, BUT, we know this is a double edged sword. When working from home, sometimes the line is blurred when you are in "professional mode" or if you are in "daddy/mommy" mode.

Remember to set boundaries, to prevent being one sided.
You can become a workaholic and neglect your loved ones, or you could neglect your responsibility as an entrepreneur to spend time with the family. This is a line that should
be clear to everyone, to make sure you a running your business as efficient as possible.

Understand that since you no longer are paid a salary, but instead off of your own effort, it would be wise to make all the necessary precautions to avoid these pitfalls. More than anything, your discipline will be challenged. With the temptation of comfort all around you, remember to respect yourself, your business, and your home, by allocating time for every area.
